Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie had said he would wait until after the draft before restructuring the team’s scouting department. On Monday, two days after the draft, he fired longtime scout Jon Kingdon.
Raiders General Manager Reggie McKenzie is adding a couple of people he’s very familiar with to the Oakland front office. One of those people is McKenzie’s twin brother, Raleigh McKenzie. The Bay Area News Group reports that Raleigh has been given a job in the team’s personnel department.
The Oakland Raiders have signed offensive lineman Ed Wang, who has played in six career games, all with the Buffalo Bills in 2010.
This year, the Raiders have unveiled a new plan for keeping the Black Hole full. The team announced Saturday that, for all season tickets sold from May 1 to June 30, 10 percent of the gross purchase price will be donated to the Oakland Unified School District.
Matt Leinart is heading back to California, and back to backing up Carson Palmer.
