Evening AFC West news and notes: Cassel update

Kansas City coach Todd Haley said Friday he will wait until Sunday to decide if Matt Cassel will make his Chiefs’ debut, at home against Oakland.

Cassel was limited in his practice participation all week as he recovers from a knee sprain that kept him out against Baltimore. The fact that Haley has not announced Cassel will play isn’t surprising. Haley will want to keep the Raiders guessing. I’m guesssing if Cassel doesn’t have a setback in his mobility, he will play Sunday.

New Oakland defensive lineman Richard Seymour explains his situation in a radio interview.

The Chargers’ comeback win at Oakland was a costly one for Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers.

The Raiders don’t sound like they are interested in defensive back Chris McAlister.
