The Denver Post reports Broncos’ receiver Brandon Marshall likely won’t file a grievance over his suspension by the Broncos. His suspension will be lifted the week prior to the Sept. 13 season opener at Cincinnati if Marshall straightens out his act.
Marshall has little chance of winning a grievance in the light of the video of him being a disruption at practice Wednesday. Marshall is going to have to live with this suspension.
The Oakland Tribune reports the Raiders may start rookies Darrius Heyward-Bey and Louis Murphy at receiver in the regular-season opener Sept. 14 against San Diego.
With Chaz Schilens hurt and Javon Walker just getting back in the practice field, there is a strong chance Heyward-Bey and Murphy will likely start for the Raiders. Murphy, a fourth rounder, actually has looked more polished than Heyward-Bey, who Oakland took with the No. 7 overall pick.
