Wide receiver Javon Walker hobbled into the locker room on crutches Thursday, his left foot in a protective boot. “I’m done for the season,” Walker said.
Raiders coach Tom Cable on Wednesday confirmed that he has replaced offensive coordinator Greg Knapp as the play-caller.
Backup quarterback Andrew Walter (ankle), wide receiver Javon Walker (ankle), center Jake Grove (calf) and linebacker Ricky Brown (groin) missed practice. Wide receiver Chaz Schilens (ankle), Russell (knee), McFadden and defensive end Derrick Burgess (triceps) were limited in practice. Burgess practiced for the first time since Oct. 6. He missed the past five games.
The Raiders signed cornerback/kick returner Justin Miller on Wednesday.
The Raiders signed quarterback Jeff Otis to their practice squad. He spent time with the Raiders in training camp the past two seasons. He was added as an insurance policy because of injuries to Russell and Walter.
