Restricted free agent cornerback/kick returner Chris Carr has signed an offer sheet from the Tennessee Titans.
The Oakland Raiders signed defensive end Kalimba Edwards to a two-year contract on Friday as they try to improve their pass rush for next season.
NFL owners today approved a rule that allows coaches to communicate by radio with one defensive player, the same way they have for years with quarterbacks.
The Oakland Raiders signed free agent center John Wade on Monday to fill a potential hole on their offensive line.
The Oakland Raiders signed free agent linebacker Akbar Gbaja-Biamila on March 28, 2008.
The Raiders open the preseason hosting the 49ers followed by a nationally-televised game at Tennessee on Aug. 16 on Fox.
The Raiders will be under the national spotlight this season from the outset, with their regular-season opener against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 8 the second game of an ESPN Monday night doubleheader.
