Raiders notebook: Saints avoided Asomugha

SFGate Sports: Oakland Raiders
Blame a lot of Raiders players and coaches for Sunday’s 34-3 loss to the Saints. Just leave cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha out of it. After all, opposing teams always do. Saints quarterback Drew Brees completed 26 of 30 passes for 320 yards, but only one of…

Preparing for Week 6

Posted by ESPN.com’s Bill Williamson

I am headed to New Orleans for Sunday’s game between the Raiders and the Saints.

It’s a new era (again) for the Raiders and it will be fun to see how the Raiders react to playing for interim coach Tom Cable after the Lane Kiffin saga.

What I am most interested in seeing is whether Oakland quarterback JaMarcus Russell will indeed air it our more as has been indicated in Oakland. Also, I want to see if the Raiders can play better in the fourth quarter.

They blew fourth-quarter leads against Buffalo and San Diego, in their last two games, and were outscored by a total of 42-10 in those two games.
